Taking care of your health is one of the most important jobs we have as human beings. More important than working, playing, and even more important than loving your family! Here’s why: Scientists in Germany and The Netherlands studied 790 people between the ages of 20 to 85 years old and found that those individuals who did more of the good things, like exercise, and ate fruits and vegetables, and got enough rest, had a better quality of life and reported feeling healthier than those individuals who did only one, two, or none of these things.
In other words, if you only exercised and ate fruits and vegetables but you didn’t get enough sleep, you wouldn’t feel as healthy as you would if you also got enough rest. Researchers concluded, “Restful sleep, physical activity, and fruit and vegetable intake were associated with increased sleep quality, which in turn was associated with increased overall quality of life and subjective health.”
